Rules in Vegas Strip Blackjack Similar to most American-style blackjack games, Vegas Strip Blackjack uses 4 to 8 decks and is a hole card blackjack. This means that the dealer initially receives one face-up card that is visible to everyone on the table and another one, which is face-down. Besides the standard blackjack game-play rules, these are the rules for Vegas Strip Blackjack: Four decks of standard playing cards. Blackjack pays 3 to 2 (some tables only pay 6 to 5, avoid these due to higher house edge) Dealer stands on soft 17 (a hand that includes an Ace worth 11 points) Dealer peeks for blackjack.
Commonly referred to as Vegas Strip Blackjack, Strip Blackjack is a form of the popular casino game with origins in Las Vegas. It’s usually played with just 4 decks, which sets it apart from most other online blackjack games. Overall, though, a lot of rules that originate in Strip Blackjack have since been adopted as the standard for blackjack.
There isn't much difference between Atlantic City, Vegas Downtown and Vegas Strip Blackjack rules. Some of the advantages of playing at a Vegas Strip casino is the dealer must stand on a soft 17 and that players can double down on any two cards. The downside to playing a Vegas Strip Blackjack table compared with the other two versions is that you can not surrender your hand. The Vegas Strip rules are generally player friendly and have only a small house edge. You reduce the house edge even further by using ourVegas Strip Blackjack strategy chart.

Vegas Strip Blackjack Rules
The game begins with the player placing his wager on the table. The dealer then deals the cards in the following sequence. The first card is dealt face up to the player, the next card is dealt face up to the dealer, the third card is dealt face up to the player and the last card is dealt face down to the dealer. This card is known as the hole card. If the dealer’s face up card is an ace or a 10 value card then the dealer checks for blackjack. If the dealer has a blackjack the game is over and the player loses his wager. If the dealer does not have a blackjack the player makes his moves.
If the dealer’s face up card is an ace then, before the dealer checks for blackjack, the player can take insurance against the dealer getting a blackjack. The insurance bet is half of the player’s wager. If the dealer does not have a blackjack the insurance bet loses and the game proceeds. If the dealer has a blackjack then the insurance bet pays out at 2 to 1 and the normal bet loses.
The player’s moves are constrained by the following blackjack rules. The player can double on any two cards and can even double after a split. The player can split three times so as to make four hands. However, aces can be split only once and only one card can be dealt to split aces.
A split ace and 10 value card counts as a total of 21 and not as a blackjack. Some online casinos allow players to split unlike 10 value cards. However this is not desirable since a total of 20 is considered a very strong hand. If the player busts anytime he immediately loses his wager.
Once the player stands the dealer’s moves are automatically made by the software. In Vegas Strip Blackjack the dealer stands on all totals of 17, whether soft or hard. If the dealer busts then the player is paid out according to the rules. Otherwise the hand values are compared and the hand closer to 21 wins. A player’s blackjack that wins pays out at 3 to 2. Any other player’s win pays out at 1 to 1. If the player’s and the dealer’s hands are tied then the bet pushes and the player is returned if the original wager. If the dealer wins then the player loses his wager.

Optimum strategy for Vegas Strip Blackjack is available in strategy cards that indicate the player’s best move for a given hand total and the dealer’s face up card. Some of the online gaming software providers have incorporated this strategy card into the software and allow players to wager on auto play using the strategy card.
